And Trafalgar Square was so-Marriage Witnesses

And Trafalgar Square was so-Marriage Witnesses

executive summary by Stanley Subari
To go to Buckingham Palace, the bride entourage UK Prince William and Catherine Middleton have to go through Trafalgar Square is famous for its name. In this field there is a high monument with a statue of Captain Nelson on it.

Trafalgar Square has become a kind of field of freedom and visited by many tourists. I would like to invite readers to see this historic site after theWhitehall where the PM's office is located at Downing Street and Queen of England vedette Life Guards.

This monument was established in 1843 to commemorate the victory Admiral of Lord Horatio Nelson  over the French fleet in the Battle of Trafalgar October 21, 1805. This monument is about 52 meters high.

In the 14th century until the end of the 17th century, some area that is now a Trafalgar Square is a page from the Great Mews or can be referred to as a warehouse or a train or vehicle was serving Whitehall Palace.

at the beginning of the 18th century, Mews is no longer used by the Royal Household that this area is cleaned. In 1812 the architect John Nash developed a new concept to improve the face of London. He wanted a space or courtyard becomes the cultural field, open to the public. New year 1830 was officially named Trafalgar Square.

In the next development in the 1800s this region experienced a major change. In 1832 began construction on the nearby National Gallery by architect William Wilkins.

After the National Gallery is completed, in 1838 Sir Charles Barry who became the architect Palace of Westminster in submitting the draft to develop Trafalgar Square. In design there are stairs to the National Gallery, Nelson's monument and the stairs and two fountains.

1843, Nelson's Column in the middle of the field was built with the design of William Railton. Then in 1845 the fountain was built based on the design of Sir Charles Barry. Then Sir Edwin Landseer lion statues guarding designing Nelson's Column in 1867.

In the modern era Trafalgar Square being developed. Reshuffle in July 2003 after experiencing 18 months of the more spacious surroundings.Space for pedestrians on the north terrace is now connected with the National Gallery. There were also other changes such as a caffe, public toilets and lifts for the disabled.

Now in the modern era of Trafalgar Square has significant historical value of both monuments and statues in it.

Since the development of the early 1800s become a means of democratic movements and protests. Every week there are holding a rally on the issue of political, religious and other issues. Traditionally, the mayor supports this democratic tradition and give this to the pitch axis to fight his value.

I remember when there was a big anti-Iraq war demonstration in London a few years ago, then in Trafalgar Square was given a place as an event "drop the statue of George Bush's" symbolic resistance when the Americans dropped the statue of Saddam Hussein in Baghdad.

Enjoying the beauty of this field can be while sitting on the stairs or on the seat of the chair provided concrete. Spoiled pigeons flying around the tourists as if asking to be fed. The birds are never far from the field and remain in Trafalgar Square.

For those who never visit here, try to feel its beauty. There is a fountain, there is a high monument, a statue of a lion and the surrounding buildings are also supportive. Field is not extensive but feel the value of its history.

Value of the history of Trafalgar Square is increased when a new partner in UK Prince William and Kate Middleton will pass by the royal golden carriage.
