Along the beauty of the City of Granada, Spain

executive summary by Stanley Subari from Irfan Prabudiansyah

Continuing the story about the trip in Andalusia, this time I will explore a little about the beauty of the city of Granada. Yupz, the third day in spain we spent in a small town located on the south side of this madrid. Departing from Barcelona Girona airport and travel for 1 hour and 30 minutes to Granada. We arrived in Granada around 7 am.

Brrr ... the morning temperature quite cold here, not as warm in Barcelona. But this is so is reasonable because Granada is located near the mountains Sierrra Nevada. Although already in the spring but it still looks white mountains covered with snow. He said the hell, the Sierra Nevada this is almost always covered with snow all year, except during summer times yes.

From the airport we headed straight to the hostel which is located not far from downtown. Hostel that we were headed was not far from Albaijn, at first glance like a settlement where the Arabs. Shades of the middle east so feel here. This is not surprising, because the city of Granada was first included in the territory of the Islamic Caliphate Andalusia. Here we also find a mosque, hehe. This is the first mosque which we discovered during a trip in spain.

After storing the goods in the hostel, we were immediately looking for a restaurant for breakfast, and where we are heading in none other than the turkish kebab

Visited tourist attractions in Granada is La Alhambra. Alhambra is the symbol of Granada, obligatory place to visit, hehe. Alhambra is a palace and fortress that is the legacy of Islamic Caliphate. Alhambra was built during the reign of the dynasty nasrid the mid 14th century. This makes Granada as one of the cultural center and most beautiful tourist cities in Spain.

Alhambra itself comes from the Arabic word which means red. So named because at night the building looked reddish. We visited the Alhambra Palace in the afternoon. Actually there are two scheduled visits to Al Hambra this, the visit of the morning until noon and afternoon until evening. After waiting for 3 hours, we finally get into the Alhambra exactly at 10 pm in the evening.

In the Alhambra there are some places that can be visited, one of which is Nasrid Palace. Nasrid Palace is where the most demanding. The number of visitors who can enter into this palace is limited around 100 people, with the visit of just 30 minutes as scheduled. Nasrid Palace is a palace that is very unique with arabic-persian-style architecture. The walls are filled with decorations are very beautiful and intricate that characterizes Arab palace. Besides nasrid palace, there are also Palace of Charles V. Palace of Charles V is a building with Renacentist style. The palace was built by King Charles V during the reign of Roman emperor.

From the top of the Alhambra, we also can see the enchanting city of Granada and the building is beautiful, with the background of the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains. Anyway if friends visit to Spain, time to visit the Alhambra in Granada.

Here are some photos of our collection shows the beauty of Granada and its Alhambra.
